The Accounting Division provides accounting support to management and departments of the City. In addition to the basic accounting functions such as maintenance of all City accounting records, payment of city bills, and recordation of City revenues, the Accounting Division also performs the following functions:
- Assists the City Manager with the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets
- Invests the City’s funds and administers the City’s cash management program
- Monitors and controls the fixed assets and inventory records of the City
- Prepares reports on the financial status of capital projects
- Prepares special financial reports as requested by management
- Reviews and coordinates requests for reimbursement from various federal and state agencies
- Submits the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
